Nautica Dress blue shirt from Godzilla seen with Bryan Cranston (Joe Brody)
Widowed Nuclear Physicist: What if all the nuclear tests the U.S. conducted in the 1950s were not tests but offensive attacks against a monster it could not defeat? In this modern retelling of Godzilla, the famed monster returns not only to terrorize ordinary citizens and level cities but to battle two other creatures of mythic proportions. Although the government initially withholds this information from the public, Joe Brody (Bryan Cranston), a widower whose sadness and loss is reflected in his muted wardrobe, knows better and pushes the government for full disclosure. But even with full disclosure, will the government be able to protect the people from these creatures?
Joe Brody (Bryan Cranston) is no stranger to tragedy, and the change in his wardrobe over the decades underscores that reality. Whereas he once wore neat professorial suits as a nuclear physicist working alongside his wife, he now wears only the most practical clothes as a widower who can’t forget his wife’s last moments. Those practical ensembles come in handy when Godzilla and two other monsters descend on the United States. With his extensive scientific knowledge and experience, Joe is pulled in to work with his son Ford Brody (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), and with three enormous, angry monsters wrecking havoc, it gets pretty messy.
